Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small community located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's Island. The West Island, to those not familiar with it, is a huge section that extends from Lachine to the west. Many times, it is credited as the place of birth for Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her stay there was short. Brugel grew in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. Her first ambition was to be a professional dancer. However, the rapid growth of her body led to she was able to outgrow her dance partner. The article she wrote about her experience revealed released by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. When I grew out of male companions, I began to stop. Many former dancers turn into acting. In Brugel's situation, it was a suggestion by the drama instructor at her high school who pushed her towards the right path. Her teacher advised her to audition in the role of Anne for their school's annual production. The student tried it out, and ended up playing the character of Anne of Green Gables. This resulted in a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with A Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Over the past 20 years she has had her in more than 60 shows and films. The role she was most famous for was Rita (shown below) in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian actor during the season 1 of the series. She was she was only seen on occasion.
